Interim Managers vs. Consultants

E123 Int v ConThere are clear distinctions between the role of Interim Managers and Consultants.

In essence, one is about making things happen and one is about advising on changes to be made.

Having identified a piece of work to be undertaken Clients needs to ask themselves -

  • “Am I looking for a diagnostic review with specific methodologies which will advise me how to make change?”

  • “Am I looking for practical, implementation expertise from an Interim professional who has a wealth of experience in this particular area ?“

  • “Where will I get the best value for money – Consultancy or Interim ?”

There are undoubtedly roles for both Interim and Consultancy in all organisations but value for money and results are driven by using the most appropriate solution for your situation.
